Just hanging out in Sol Lewitt sculpture. Taking a breather from her afternoon, pre-dinner strolling.

Ines is very lucky girl who gets some very lovely packages. We love everything she gets (as does she) but occasionally, something so pretty arrives in the mail, we almost don't want to open it! How's this for a terrific looking package??!

I know there's trouble when I can't hear Ines. Apt isn't exactly huge, so I don't need to be able to constantly see her but as long as she is making noise or singing, I know everything is ok. Here's the scene after a little bit of silence! (these are her diaper/nappy bags)

We haven't had a new tooth in a while - her existing ones just seem to get bigger - and despite our best efforts, she isn't loving having them brushed. Here she is in her bouncy chair hanging with daddy as he has his morning shower.

If the music wont come to Ines, Ines will go to the music. Even if it means sitting in her toy bucket.
And our second little vaca was a weekend out in Sag Harbor in the Hamptons with our friends Andrea and Jonah. More pool fun for Ines. As much as we love NYC, it is SO GOOD to get out occasionally.
I'm not sure if you know who Tina Fey is, but she has a tv show over here called 30 Rock and used to be on Saturday Night Live (a comedy/sketch program). Feel like I need to read this book. Thought this excerpt hilarious and worth sharing:
Sometimes when she is very naughty, we need to lock her out of the house. Ok, not really. I'm not sure what was happening here but I think she is saying 'let me in!'
Her first time in a shopping trolley. We seemed to spend an unnatural amount of time in the Rhinebeck Stop and Shop. Partly admiring how cheap everything is (10 heads of corn for a $1!!!!!) A big change from our local Wholefoods.
Deciding baby books are well, too babyish, Ines settled in for some more adult reading. Deciding a weekend place is just what we need, she hit the Real Estate mags. Seeing the prices, she followed that with the business section at lunch time.
We were lucky enough to be house and dog (Deuce) sitting in a wonderful house in Rhinebeck (upstate NY - where Chelsea Clinton got married) owned by some very lovely people who were traveling in Portugal. 10 lovely days. Bliss. Lots of photos from July 4th weekend.
Here we are on a walk. About a mile uphill. The view was worth it.
Nick took her out for a ride this morning on her new bike seat. Initially she wasn't loving it but as soon as Nick started to peddle, it was all good! Thanks Nanny Annie and The Larters. The seat was purchased with your Amazon voucher.
